Better Together: Stories from Jubilee Home at the Carolina Theatre

Tickets go on sale at the Carolina Theatre box office Friday, January 17th.
This year’s event will feature stories of bravery and resilience from folks involved in Jubilee Home and impacted by incarceration who are defined by their strengths and not their weaknesses.

Weekend of February 8-9: Worship and Mass Incarceration
CAROLINA THEATRE, CINEMA 1

Congregations are invited to remember those impacted by mass incarceration and incorporate themes of mass incarceration in worship.

Wednesday, February 12th: Solitary Confinement Exhibit, Prayer Vigil, and March to Durham County Jail
5-6 pm: Solitary Confinement Exhibit
6pm: Prayer Vigil and March to Durham County Jail

Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, 504 W Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, 504 W Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC  Gather with community members to learn, pray and march. At 5pm, join us for End Solitary NC’s Exhibit. At 6pmwe will hold a prayer vigil and then march to Durham County Detention Center. The exhibit and vigil will be held at Duke Memorial before the march begins.

Friday, February 14th, 10am: Reflections on Mass Incarceration Panel, Fellowship and Collaboration
ReCity, 112B Broadway Street, Durham, NC

Join us for a panel discussion about mass incarceration that will include Reverend Dr. Dewey Williams, Reverend Dr. Louis Threatt and others that are involved in the fight for justice. Also, join neighbors to celebrate our common humanity and the victories we have made as we envision our future work together. There will be light refreshments served.
